Semana Santa (Holy Week)

Romería de la Virgen del Carmen – Late April/Early May
A pilgrimage-style celebration in honour of the Virgen del Carmen, the patron saint of fishermen. Locals dress in traditional Andalusian attire and accompany the Virgin’s image in a procession from the church to the countryside, often followed by a day of food, music, and dancing.
Ruta de la Tapa – Throughout May
One of Torre del Mar’s most popular gastronomic events, the Ruta de la Tapa is a month-long food festival where participating bars and restaurants serve special tapas for visitors to try. A tapas passport allows people to collect stamps from different venues, with prizes for those who complete the full route. Noche de San Juan – 23rd June
One of the most anticipated nights of the year, San Juan marks the summer solstice with huge bonfires on the beach. Thousands gather along the Torre del Mar coastline to celebrate with music, fireworks, and barbecues of sardines (espetos). Tradition says you should jump over a bonfire and swim in the sea at midnight for good luck and to cleanse the soul.

Weekend Beach Festival – First Weekend of July
Torre del Mar’s biggest music festival, the Weekend Beach Festival, is an international event that attracts huge names from the music industry. While the lineup is mainly electronic, dance, and urban music, it has also featured artists like The Black Eyed Peas, David Guetta, Steve Aoki, and Daddy Yankee. The festival takes place on the beach, with multiple stages and thousands of attendees from all over Spain and beyond.
Feria de Torre del Mar – Second Week of July
Torre del Mar’s biggest annual fiesta, the Feria is a week-long event featuring:
